BeautiFill is the latest technology offered by Mountain West Medical Services that uses laser technology to safely remove live fat cells without damaging the fat. Not only will BeautiFill remove fat cells from the places you don't want it but can also use those same fat cells to fill the areas where extra volume is needed.

How it works

Unlike traditional liposuction that requires general anesthesia, significant downtime, and inherent risks of general surgery; BeautiFill utilizes lasers to gently remove unwanted fat. Because lasers are utilized to loosen the fat, the recovered fat is viable and can be transferred and grafted to other areas of the body. If transfer is not needed, then the removed fat can be discarded.

Fat can be harvested/removed from nearly any unwanted area of the body. The most common areas of removal are the abdomen, thighs, hips, under chin, and under arms. Common areas of fat transfer are the face, breasts, and hands.

Good candidates

A good candidate is an otherwise healthy individual without a significant health history. Uncontrolled hypertension, diabetes, or ongoing cardiovascular or pulmonary issues may eliminate a person from being a candidate for the procedure. FAQs

Will I be sedated for the procedure?

Clients will be offered an oral relaxant, such as Xanax or Valium, to help reduce anxiety and help relax the client. The client will be otherwise conscious during the procedure. Clients are asked to have a ride available to assist the home.

How long will the procedure take?

Usually, the procedure takes between two and four hours.

How much downtime will I need after the procedure?

True downtime depends on the extent of the procedure. It can be as little as 1-2 days, but typically not longer than one week. We usually ask patients to plan at least 3 days off from work for most procedures. However, some patients who work from home have chosen to go back to work the next day.

Is the procedure painful?

Patients can expect mild soreness and discomfort for a few days after the procedure. Larger cases may extend this period. Discomfort is usually tolerated well with over-the-counter pain medication…but stronger medication may be prescribed on an individual basis.

I’m more interested in body contouring. Do I have to transfer fat once it is removed?

No. While fat transfer can volumize the face or breast, for example, the removed fat can be discarded as well. This procedure is an excellent option for body contouring and shaping for those pesky areas that won’t go away.

I don’t want breast implants…could I use my own fat to augment my breasts?

Yes! Typically we can get approximately a half to a full cup size bigger in one treatment. And because it is your own fat, you won’t have any of the nasty side effects that breast implants may have.

What is the cost of the procedure?
